The presentations that make up the current and archived conferences on this site have been made open access and are freely available for viewing, for the benefit of authors and interested readers.

 

Objectives of Conference

  1. T evaluate the reality of counseling work in the public and private institutions.
  2. To view field experiences and successful models in counseling centers and offices and others.
  3. To identify preventive counseling programs and models in public and private sector institutions.
  4. To discuss contemporary issues, challenges, and difficulties in the field of counseling in light of the openness of knowledge.
  5. To invest web and social networks in s variety of different counseling services
  6. To exchange experiences between experts and researchers in the field of counseling and all its different forms.
  7. To provide guidance counselors with cognitive and scientific competence in light of cognitive development of counseling field

 

Conference themes

  1. Applying contemporary technology in counseling and its service.
  2. Challenges of counseling culture.
  3. Supportive developmental preventive counseling.
  4. How Counseling work standards are impacted  by openness of knowledge.
  5. University counseling centers.
  6. Psychological counseling and its all its different forms in the public and private sector institutions.
  7. Counseling individuals and society.

 

Terms of participation

  1. Two types of participation at the conference: attending, and presenting a paper.
  2. Commitment to scientific research methodology in the presented papers for the conference, and to take into consideration the guidelines of American Psychological Association APA, including references, tables and others.
  3. Presented paper must be in relation to one of the conference themes.
  4. The paper must not be published or presented in previous conferences.
  5. The research presented must be current and not outdated
  6. To be proficient linguistically.
  7. Research presented in either Arabic or in English are both accepted
  8. Research abstract must be sent. The Abstract must include: the introduction, the methodology utilized in the study, the main findings and finally the recommendations.
  9. Research submitted to the Conference are subject to scientific arbitration.
  10. The participants shall bear expanses of travel and accommodation (may include some discounts for some hotels)
  11. Participation fees: (50) RO for participants attending from within the Sultanate of Oman and (150) RO for participants attending from outside the Sultanate of Oman, there is a discount offered for early registration.
