First International Conference on Frankincense and Medicinal Plants: Recent Advances in Research and Industry

30th October – 1st November 2018

 

Given the increasing interest in discovering new drugs from medicinal plants in general and from frankincense in particular, coupled with the need to better link academia with industry, it is important to highlight recent advances in this area. This inaugural conference aims to promote an exchange of knowledge and information about medicinal plants and frankincense to establish linkages between producers and consumers of natural products worldwide. It also offers an opportunity to introduce delegates to new developments and breakthroughs in many disciplines related to these areas. The conference further aims to contribute to increased production, underline the industrial and environmental value of Omani’s natural products, and highlight recent medical and scientific discoveries

The conference offers interested companies the opportunity to showcase their services and products in relation to the conference theme, and meet a target audience of scientists, researchers, laboratory managers, business people, and decision makers.

 

 

TERMS & CONDITIONS

Submission of an online registration is regarded as a firm booking and acceptance of these terms and conditions, however the booking will not be confirmed until full payment has been received. Payment in full must be received at time of registration and no later than 1 week before the date that the conference begins. In the event that full payment is not received by then, the delegate will be refused entry to the conference. We accept online payment only, please note that all transfer charges must be met by the sender.

 

PRIVACY POLICY

The personal information supplied in connection with this booking will be held by SQU as a record of attendees and parties expressing interest. By registering for this conference the parties concerned are agreeing that the conference organisers may use that personal information to contact them by email, telephone or fax, in order to supply information relevant to this conference, or about other conferences, events and opportunities that the organisers are planning and feel may be of interest to them. The organisers may also share this information with its partners and event sponsors in order for them to contact the delegates about other products and services which may be of interest to the delegates. If you do not want your details to be used in this way, please contact SQU by letter or email to confirm this.

 

CANCELLATION

1. Any delegate wishing to cancel their booking must notify SQU in writing. Cancellation charges will apply as follows: - Up to 4 weeks before the event starts: 20% of the delegate fee - Up to 3 weeks before the event starts: 50% of the delegate fee plus any bank transfer fee incurred by SQU - Less than 2 weeks before the event starts: 100% of the delegate fee - Non-arrivals are liable for 100% of the delegate fee

2. In the unlikely event of the program being cancelled by the organiser, a full refund will be made. Liability will be limited to the amount of the fee paid by the delegate and there will not be any additional liability to SQU, event hosts or any other individual associated with the event organization.

3. In the event that the conference cannot be held or is postponed due to events beyond the control of the conference organisers (force majeure) or due to events which are not attributable to wrongful intent or gross negligence of the conference organisers, liability will be limited to the amount of the fee paid by the delegate and there will not be any additional liability to SQU, event hosts or any other individual associated with the event organization. Under these circumstances, the conference organisers reserve the right to refund the fees paid minus a 25% admin fee.

 

DELIVERY POLICY

The price of the conference entitles the purchaser to attend the specified year’s conference and receive the benefits described in the conference website for that specific conference. The attendee must provide his/her transportation to the conference, local transportation, lodging, as indicated in the Conference Agenda published online and that can be found at: https://conferences.squ.edu.om/icfmp2018
